Sixth through eighth grade students who live in the Cleveland High School district are eligible to participate in our cluster program. Wrestling, track and Cross Country practices will be held at two different practice sites (Hosford MS or Sellwood MS), but the groups will compete together. Basketball and volleyball teams will practice and compete separately, but all teams will represent the cluster. Each sport will have a coordinator who handles the forms, fees, schedule, uniforms and logistics. Please direct your questions or concerns to the coordinator for your sport. Each coordinator's contact information is available on the season pages. The cost for each sport ranges from $125-150 per student, or $35-60 for students who receive free or reduced lunch. The commitment level varies by sport and by team, but students can expect roughly two practices and one competition a week. The goal is to provide an affordable opportunity for student athletes to compete against others around the city while representing their high school. The first Portland Interscholastic League (PIL) middle school season was spring 2014; We plan to add sports each year.
